FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

  • I am new to all this, how does it all work?

After viewing my photography gallery here on the website and/or on my social media pages, you will get a clear idea of my style. If it’s a style you would like for your products, you can follow these steps:

Step 1: Contact me with your initial ideas for your product photography. Collect some product photography images/mood board that best demonstrates the style you are looking for. I will then set up a phone call or Zoom meeting (which ever suits you) to discuss your photography needs. If you would like to proceed, I will put together a quote to email you.

Step 2: After accepting the quote and Terms & Conditions via email, we will arrange a mutual time for the shoot. You can arrange to either post your products to me or drop them off before the shoot day. An invoice for the deposit will be emailed to you. Once your deposit clears to my bank account, your preferred shoot date will be secured.

Step 3: I begin preparing and then shooting your products as per agreed shoot schedule. I will send photos of the shoot under progress via mobile phone.

Step 4: Once the shoot is finished, I then spend time on editing your images. I will inform you via email when the images are ready.

Step 5: Once final payment is made, I then upload your images to a Dropbox file to instantly share with you. I will also arrange for your products to be returned to you (postage will be an added fee)

Step 6: Start sharing your new images to your website and social media pages! Please remember to tag/credit me where you can and I will do the same by crediting your business on my socials!

  • What is the turnaround time from starting the shoot to receiving my images?

Generally, a standard full day shoot with basic styling & editing will have a turnaround time of 2-3 weeks from the shoot date. I will inform you if the time may be longer

  • Why do I pay a deposit before the shoot?

When your booking is scheduled, it means I block that time out for anyone else. I also schedule a separate time to chat with you about your photography brief, source your props for the shoot and for editing afterwards. Cancellations close to the shoot date prevent me from filling that time with another client, therefore affecting my business financially.

  • Do you have a studio?

I have a very small studio suitable for product photography in my home in Altona North.

  • Do I have to be present for the shoot?

No need. The studio is quite small and after all the equipment is set up, there’s really only room for me! Most clients find sending me their products for the shoot gives them time to work on other aspects of their business.
